IRS Scammer Warning (04/02/20)

The IRS will never :

  • Call to demand immediate payment using a specific payment method such as a prepaid debit card, gift card or wire transfer. Generally, the IRS will first mail a bill to any taxpayer who owes taxes.
  • Threaten to immediately bring in local police or other law-enforcement groups to have the taxpayer arrested for not paying.
  • Demand that taxes be paid without giving taxpayers the opportunity to question or appeal the amount owed.
  • Ask for credit or debit card numbers over the phone.
  • Call about an unexpected refund.

NOTICE REGARDING COVID-19 (updated 06/03/20):

We have been continuously working to responsibly address the evolving threat of the coronavirus outbreak. The health and safety of our clients and staff are our top priority.  Effective June 5, 2020, Governor Wolf designated our county as green.  Normal operating hours will be 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Thursday and 8:00 to 4:00 on Friday.   All required protocols will be in place for face to face meetings.  Appointments are encouraged.
